Costello Stadium is the region's major athletics facility and ideal for hosting events and conferences.
Athletics Track Refurbishment
Costello Stadium’s running track will undergo several weeks of refurbishment starting Tuesday 22 April and is due to be completed in early June.
The works will include a surface respray and a specialist deep clean of the current track, along with essential repairs and the installation of a new surface overspray.
During this period, outdoor track and field activities at Costello Stadium will be unavailable. However, the Stadium’s indoor facilities - including the public gym and fitness classes - will remain fully operational.

Costello Stadium includes -
- a fitness suite with a variety of cardio and resistance machines and a free weights area
- an 8 lane floodlit athletics track with field athletics areas and covered stadium seating
- a large indoor sports hall available for sporting and commercial use
- 4 floodlit outdoor tennis courts
- a fitness and sports hall for a variety of holistic, cardio and core sessions
- meeting and conference facilities
